A way of saying thank you

A book could never be completed without the help of a few others.

Thank you. Those two simple words are so easy to say (or write) but can mean so much to someone, yet they are never said enough. As an author, I have discovered I would never have been able to complete The Mirror's Reflection without the help of a few special people in my life. In this case, those two words of thanks do not seem enough. I wish I could do more for the people who have helped me along the way in completing my debut novel.
Firstly, I would like to thank my twin sister, Kimberley, whose enthusiasm for my book has always encouraged me to keep going with it. I am eternally grateful for all the help she has given me, and for reading through earlier drafts of the book. Kimberley has always been so patient with me when I would disappear and spend hours or days at a time on my book. I simply cannot thank her enough for always being there for me, and of course all the help and chats we have had about my book whilst out walking. Somehow my book always seems to be the favourite topic of conversation for our walks in the countryside or forests. I think Kimberley knows the characters as well as I do!
Secondly, I would like to thank my mum for always being there for me and supporting me. It means so much. My mum was the one who encouraged me to take the leap and put my book out there for more readers to enjoy, which, I must thank her dearly for and for giving me the courage to do it. I would also like to thank her for enjoying reading my book! It was the first book of this genre she has read and I never thought it would be something she would enjoy, but she did, and I couldn’t be happier. Like Kimberley, Mum loves to chat about new ideas I have for my books whilst out walking and speculating what will happen next for the characters.
I would also like to thank my Foundation Art and Design Tutors all those years ago in college. For, if it had not been for a project titled “Alter Ego” I would have never created the beginnings of Charlotte.
Last but by no mean least, I would like to thank, you, my readers, for reading The Mirror's Reflection and for making your way to this website. Your support means everything to me and I am truly grateful to each and every one of you.
